Alexandra Caffrey

Alexandra is a sophomore studying Government and Global Health. She is originally from Miami, Florida, and at Harvard enjoys dancing with the Harvard Ballet Company and volunteering with the Harvard Democrats.

Andrew Badinelli

Senate Environment and Public Works
Andrew Badinelli is a Junior economics concentrator in Mather House. On campus besides HMC, he writes for The Harvard Crimson and tutors for the Economics Department. This past summer, Andrew was also named by Spotify as one of Sia’s top listeners. He’s not really sure what that means, but is pretty excited about it.

Anna Henricks

World Health Organization
Anna Henricks, from Lakeland, Florida, is a freshman who plans on concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. Outside of HMC, Anna is a member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company and teaches dance to middle schoolers in Cambridge through City Step. In her spare time, she loves to cook, read, run, go to the beach, and eat copious amounts of ice cream.

Aren Rendell

Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Aren Rendell is a sophomore studying Economics. In high school, Aren was an HMC delegate twice, and he is excited to be with HMC as a staffer. His political experience ranges from volunteering for a congressional campaign during the 2014 US midterm elections to interning for Congressman Brad Ashford in Washington, D.C.; he is thrilled to have the opportunity to share his experiences with delegates. He looks forward to hearing lively debates on some of the toughest issues politicians in the United States and abroad face.

Ben Delsman

International Monetary Fund
Ben Delsman is a sophomore originally hailing from the beautiful state of Oregon, now studying Economics and Government here at Harvard. When not writing RapGenius comments on Kanye lyrics, you can usually find Ben hiking or playing intramural basketball poorly. He’s excited to share his passion for all things political!

Bryant Yang

Association of Southeast Asian Nations
Born and raised among the corn (Kansas, South Dakota, and Minnesota), Bryant has found his urban home at Harvard, where he is a senior studying sociology. He’s involved in the Asian American Association and student business outside of HMC!

Caroline Ferguson

UNCIO
Caroline is a Senior in Dunster concentrating in Social Studies. A native of Washington, DC, Caroline developed her love for government at a young age and thus joined HMC her sophomore year in hopes of fostering a civic spirit in high schoolers today. In addition to her work with HMC Boston, Asia, Dubai, and Europe, Caroline served as co-captain of the Harvard Club Field Hockey team and works on the College Events Board planning college-wide social events. 

Caroline Tervo

Supreme Court
Caroline Tervo is a junior government concentrator hailing from the great state of North Carolina. In addition to HMC, she’s actively involved in Harvard’s Institute of Politics where she works works with the Fellows and Study Groups program. In her free time she loves hiking, kayaking, and taking road trips. She has previously staffed conferences in Madrid, Dubai, Sao Paulo, San Francisco, and Seoul. 

Cass Hastie

House Judiciary
Cass Hastie, a Junior at Harvard College, hails from the great town of Woodstock, New York. She is currently pursuing a degree in Government, with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights, and a language citation in Spanish. When she is not participating in HMC, she chairs Harvard College Students for Scholars at Risk, serves as a peer counselor for eating concerns and body image, and gives tours and information session for the Harvard Admissions Office. In her free time, Cass loves to go on runs, eat chocolate, and practice rapping every lyric of every Kanye West song ever written. 

Dustin Chiang

House Intelligence
Dustin Chiang is a sophomore from Fremont, California studying Government. He has staffed conferences in Seoul, Boston, Rome, and Sao Paulo. Dustin teaches civics at local public schools, leads tours for prospective students, and is heavily involved with Harvard’s Institute of Politics. He enjoys watching TV, playing board games, trying delicious foods, and cheering on the Oakland Athletics.

Jason Mills

National Security Council
Jason Mills is a senior in Winthrop House. He studies Social Studies with a focus on economic and educational inequalities and a secondary in Economics. He serves as the co-president of Harvard Model Congress Boston and advises freshmen. Jason is also involved with Harvard’s Black Students Association and Institute of Politics. Off campus, he mentors boys in middle school through the Phillips Brooks House Association. He loves politics and hopes to pursue a career in law and business. He is from Queens, New York and his hobbies include watching tennis and singing.

Jefferey Huang

Jefferey, originally from sunny Southern California, is currently a sophomore living in Winthrop House. In the classroom, he is studying Art History and Computer Science. On campus, he is also involved with various organizations such as Club Basketball and Springboard (the design club).

Justin Walthier

International Criminal Court
Justin is a sophomore in Eliot House concentrating in Classics with the goal of going to Law School upon graduation. He is involved in Mock Trial, Room 13, TLA improv, and obviously HMC! He loves burritos more than any other food.

Kira Brenner

Media
Kira is a junior studying Neurobiology. In high school, she was a delegate at HMC San Francisco, and it was at her first conference that she discovered her interest in education policy and civics. Outside of the science world, Kira loves to hike, act, and online shop for her next Halloween costume.

Kyle Sanok

Kyle is a freshman from Northern Virginia right outside of Washington DC. He plans to concentrate in a STEM field while exploring classics, Spanish, or economics as possible joint areas of study. Outside HMC, Kyle runs Varsity Cross Country and Track for Harvard, and he is a member of the Harvard LowKeys, one of Harvard’s premier co-ed a capella groups. He also loves to travel, swim, frequent coffee shops, and spend time with family and friends. He cannot wait to return to Asia this January for the conference! 

Leni Hirsch

House Judiciary
Leni (pronounced lay-nee) hails from Washington, DC. She is currently a junior, lives in Pforzheimer House, and is concentrating in History and Science. Having participated in HMC Boston as a delegate, and staffed HMC Boston and Dubai, she is excited to experience HMC Asia for the first time. In her free time, Leni enjoys being in the outdoors, cooking with friends and listening to podcasts. She has been skydiving and bungee jumping.

Lyndon Hanrahan

Arab League
Lyndon hails from the great city of Toronto and studies History, literature, and Arabic at Harvard. In addition to Model Congress, Lyndon is on the board of the college film festival, gives tours of Harvard, is involved in the theatre scene, and works as a peer tutor and videographer. His greatest passions are film and travel, both of which he pursues whenever possible. 

Maddie Pagel

House Intelligence
Maddie is a freshman at the college and has spent half of her life in Japan and half of it moving around the US. Because of this, she is very interested in international relations and plans to concentrate in government. She loves exploring new places, meeting people and baking. 

Maddy Nam

UN Security Council
Maddy is a junior at Harvard studying History & Literature. Though she now resides in New Jersey, she grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and will be spending the next semester studying abroad in Madrid. Maddy has staffed conferences in Sao Paulo, San Francisco, Boston, and Rome; this will be her ninth HMC conference. When she’s not doing schoolwork, Maddy can be found listening to too much country music, re-watching Game of Thrones, or reading YA novels. 

Marc Bornstein

House Science, Space, and Technology
Marc is a senior at Harvard studying chemistry and physics. A Massachusetts native, he loves the fall weather, playing tennis, and trying new foods. Around campus, you can find him doing research, tutoring, and napping. He’s excited to meet you all!

Maria Mendoza

Presidential Cabinet
Maria Mendoza is a sophomore in Quincy House from West New York, NJ pursuing a degree in Government with a secondary field in Economics. While most of her time at Harvard consists of unfruitful searches for nearby authentic Cuban cuisine, Maria also competes on the mock trial team and tutors Harvard employees studying for the citizenship exam.

Marty Berger

Marty is a sophomore studying Anthropology and African & African American Studies. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he loves books and coffee shops. At Harvard, he volunteers at a bilingual school and researches the creolization of Afro-Caribbean religions.

Mary Harrigan

Mary is a senior concentrating in Statistics and pursuing a secondary in History. Outside of the classroom, she can often be found in the pool practicing with Club Waterpolo or at the French table in the dining hall keeping up her language skills.

Matthew Keating

National Economic Council
Matthew Keating is a freshman at Harvard studying Government with a focus on American foreign policy and international law.  Originally from Maryland, Matthew spent much of his time in high school running Maryland Youth and Government – a mock state legislature program for high school students. Matthew has extensive experience working on political campaigns on the local, state, and national level, and loves engaging with young people on the topic of youth engagement and voter apathy. In his free time, Matthew enjoys language learning, trying new food, and watching videos of Corgis on the internet.

Michael Geisler

Originally from Indiana and Ohio, Michael’s family now calls Georgia home (they don’t like staying in one place for too long). A junior at Harvard, Michael is pursuing a concentration in history and a potential secondary in economics. When not hanging out in the library reading books for history papers, Michael enjoys watching football, reading books, and spending time with friends (sometimes all at the same time!). Michael is extremely excited to be coming to Hong Kong for HMC Asia 2017!

Molly Cinnamon

Molly Cinnamon is a junior studying a double major in Computer Science and Government. Molly has a passion for traveling and exchanging political understandings between cultures. In her spare time, she loves filmmaking (inspired by Wes Anderson), reading (David Sedaris specifically), and playing squash (poorly). As an LA native, Molly is always open to complaints about the Boston winter.

Narayan Narasimhan

International Monetary Fund
Narayan Narasimhan is a sophomore in Adams House from Shaker Heights, Ohio. He is planning on studying Social Studies, with a citation in Arabic. Outside of class, he is most involved with the Harvard South Asian Association, the Harvard Crimson, and activities within the Admissions Office. When he is not studying or hanging out with his blockmates, you can most likely find him either at Chipotle, eating to his heart’s content, or binge-watching House of Cards. 

Nick Pagel

Nick is a sophomore at the College, concentrating in Chemical and Physical Biology. The son of a Marine, he was born in America, but raised by the world. While traveling across Asia, he witnessed international politics at work and found his passion.

Rachel Chiu

World Trade Organization
Rachel is a sophomore in Quincy House who is (unfortunately) still terribly unsure about what she is majoring in. Her interests include Women and Gender Studies, International Relations, and Psychology. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, playing the ukulele (much to the chagrin of her roommates), and travelling. She is very excited to be staffing HMCA in her hometown of Hong Kong. 

Raymond Wang

House Science, Space, and Technology
Raymond is a freshman at Harvard contemplating a concentration in Engineering Sciences. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he comes from 5 years of Model UN experience, and is excited to be joining HMC in Hong Kong this Winter. Outside of HMC, he can usually be found tinkering with inventions, fiddling with music, and travelling the world.

Ryan O'Meara

Ryan is a junior at Harvard studying economics with a secondary field in government and a citation in Spanish. Originally from Plano, TX, he enjoys playing golf and rooting for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. In addition to HMC, he writes for The Crimson and teaches leadership to high school students.

Sally Yi

Sally is a junior in Winthrop House studying History and Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. She is currently pursuing a teaching license through the Undergraduate Teacher Education Program so she teaches history full-time at a local high school. On campus, you can find her at the Harvard College Women’s Center, at the WHRB 95.3 FM headquarters, and doing public service work at the Phillips Brooks House Association.

Savannah Miles

Savannah is a junior from Alabama concentrating in Social Studies and focusing on race and poverty in rural America. She loves pretending to be a litigator and elected official through HMC and hopes to eventually be one in real life!

Sebastian Wagner-Carena

World Trade Organization
Sebastian is a junior pursuing a degree in Physics with a secondary in Computer Science. On campus, besides being a member of HMC, he’s also on the Harvard Ultimate Frisbee Team and dabbles in some on campus research. He loves the fascinating political discussion that makes up the HMC experience.

Shing-Shing Cao

Shing-Shing is a junior at Harvard concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Computer Science. She grew up in Newark, Delaware but now lives in San Diego, California. Outside of HMC, she works with refugees in an immigration law clinic, teaches statistics, and volunteers at a student-run youth homeless shelter. She’s a big fan of road trips, hiking, and brunch food, and she cannot wait to meet you all!

Sun-Ui Yum

Sun-Ui is a junior in Cabot House studying Economics and was born and raised in Cambridge. Outside HMC, Sun-Ui is the president of the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian-American Association, and enjoys listening to and writing about hip-hop.

Tanner Gildea

Tanner is a rising sophomore at Harvard pursuing a concentration in Social Studies. He hails from Cohasset, MA and is often found working at his job in Lamont Library, frequenting the Institute of Politics, staying active, or with friends and family.

Tyler Olkowski

Tyler Olkowski is a senior at Harvard College pursuing a degree in Social Studies and a Spanish Certificate from South Bend, Indiana. Beyond HMC, Tyler serves as a Peer Advising Fellow for incoming freshmen. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, attempting to play them, and naps.

Will Delaney

William is a sophomore from New York concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Linguistics. Outside of HMC, he is involved in the JFK Jr. Forum at the Harvard Institute of Politics and the Harvard Financial Analysts Club. William staffed HMC Boston in 2016 and is very excited for HMC Asia 2017!

Will Smiles

Will Smiles is a sophomore from Boca Raton, Florida concentrating in Computer Science. A former HMC delegate himself—Will is looking forward to being on the “other side” and giving back to the HMC community.  Beyond HMC, Will is also a tour guide on campus. In his free time, Will likes playing video games and hanging out with his homies.
